Raspberry GUI General Prerequisites

In this documentation, you will set up the Raspberry Pi board as a mini computer that requires a monitor as a display. In other words, you will interact directly with the Raspberry Pi using the GUI (Graphical User Interface).

Before you start, make sure you have fulfilled the following conditions.

  1. Hardware Board Raspberry Pi, this board is a mini computer that has an operating system (OS) to receive data from various sensors and send the data to the Antares IoT Platform.

  2. SD Card. Make sure that the SD Card that will be installed on the Raspberry Pi has an operating system (OS) installed by following the tutorial below.

  1. Monitor, used to display the GUI of the Raspberry Pi

  2. Micro HDMI to HDMI cable, used to connect the monitor with the Raspberry Pi board

  3. Keyboard, used to type the syntax on the terminal

  4. Mouse, used to move the cursor

  5. Antares account, this account is used to access the Antares website, get an access key to send data to this platform. If you don't have an Antares account, you can register here by following the Antares Account Registration tutorial.
